- Doesn't really answer the question (not really surprising, it being a rhetorical
- one). SCSI3 controllers are available to us too. The Mac also uses PCI. The
- Walker will be able to use PCI hardware.

- What I meant to say is that there's nothing "PC" about those pieces of hardware,
- just "mainstream". The only reason they offer good performance and price
- (assuming that they do--can't say I'm an expert here) is that they sell a lot so
- there's more money for R&D and less production costs per piece.

- they were developed, they would offer the same value for the same money, or
- better; and using them on PC's would be either impossible, kludgy (as it is
- even now!) or prohibitively expensive.
